Upon your arrival on campus, the Graduate Program Director will assign a graduate faculty advisor and create a UNIX account for you. Much of the news about graduate affairs will be distributed electronically. It is important that you keep in contact with the departmental community and to know "what is happening" by reading the news and checking your e-mail at least twice a week.
