Computer Science Registration Advising

Steps for Registration Advising

  1. Sign up for registration advising on line at Schedule Appointment ( October 15 for Spring advising and March 15 for Summer and Fall Advising.)
    or send email to advisor@cs.odu.edu to schedule appointment or receive advice via email.

  2. Plan a tentative schedule before coming to your appointment. You may use any of links provided toward the end of this page to assist you in a planning process:

  3. Attend the advising session to finalize your schedule, and bring a print-out of your transcript if possible. Please arrive promptly at the beginning of the session. The advisor will remove your advisor blocks during this session.

    Students may also choose to send an e-mail to one of the advisors as an alternative.

    E-mail message must include the following information

    • Student Full Name
    • Student ID Number
    • List of courses in which this student intend to register
    A copy of E-mail correspondance will be placed in the student's folder as for their record.

  4. Use LEO to register either by phone (683-6150) or on-line. Note you may register at or after the time listed for your credits earned. (Note: You may also go to Student Records in the Rollins Building to register at or after the listed time.)

    Due to the large number of Computer Science majors, setting up group appointments for the removal of the University's Advisor Block has become necessary. Your CS advisors are still very interested in spending time with each student individually to address their college and career goals. Please do not hesitate to make individual appointments with us (during our advising hours if possible) to discuss any problems or concerns you may have.
