Omkar Kasinadhuni received his B.S from Osmania University in in 2005. Omkar began his M.S. in Computer Science at Old Domininon University in 2005. As part of his graduate assistantship, he worked on the National Science Foundation funded project "Simulation and Visualization Enhanced Engineering Education" (EEC-0530365 and EEC-0343136) under Dr. Sushil Chaturvedi. He is a co-author of the paper "A Web-Based Module for Teaching Engineering Students about Environmental Effects of Fossil Fuel Combustion", which was accepted for publication in Computers in Education Journal. Omkar is the co-author for another paper which was a part of the conference proceedings of 5th Global Colloquium on Engineering Education held in Brazil. He is also a co-author for a paper which was accepted for presentation at the 6th Global Colloquium on Engineering Education held in Turkey.
In August 2007, Omkar began his Masters Project in Computer Science under his advisor, Dr. Michele C. Weigle. He has been working on the issues surrounding Full-TCP protocols and their Validation in NS-2, a discrete event simulator targeted at networking research. He will present his Masters Project on February 11th at 2:00pm in E&CS room 3316.
