Wayne Stilwell joined Old Dominion University in 2007. He graduated from the Honors College and earned his B.S. in Computer Science in 2011. He was named Outstanding Undergraduate in Computer Science in his graduating class. He is expected to earn his M.S. in Computer Science from Old Dominion University in May 2013.
Wayne has worked for Ajay Gupta’s Hands-On Lab since 2008. He also worked as a software engineer intern for Raytheon from 2008 to 2012. He has developed various web and mobile applications for organizations including the Department of Veterans Affairs, Operation Blessing International, the Hospice of Palm Beach County, VASCUPP, and the ODU College of Sciences. Wayne credits Professor Gupta’s ability to get the best out of students for making him a better programmer and student.
Wayne loves playing sports in his spare time. He has played several intramural sports at ODU, including flag football, softball, basketball, and floor hockey. When time permits, he volunteers as an assistant baseball coach at Oscar Smith High School in Chesapeake.
Wayne’s siblings also attend Old Dominion University. His younger brother, Terry, is expected to earn his B.S. in Computer Science in May 2013. Terry is a systems administrator for the Systems Group. Their younger sister, Nicole, is a junior in the criminal justice program. She hopes to become a lawyer.
