Michele C. Weigle is an Associate Professor of Computer Science. Her research interests include information visualization, web science, digital preservation, mobile computing, and wireless networks.
Dr. Weigle's current research projects include an NEH-funded project to "Archive What I See Now", an exploration of the use of web archives to enrich the live web experience through storytelling, an NSF-funded project to investigate the re-tasking of sensor networks during emergencies (ALERT), and an investigation of communications and energy-harvesting in nanosensor networks. She is currently advising 5 PhD students.
Dr. Weigle received her PhD in computer science from the University of North Carolina in 2003. She joined ODU in 2006.
