Michele C. Weigle is an Associate Professor of Computer Science. Her research interests include wireless and mobile networks, information visualization, digital preservation, and web science.
Dr. Weigle's current research projects include the NSF-funded ALERT project to investigate the re-tasking of sensor networks during emergencies, an investigation of communications and energy-harvesting in nanosensor networks, an NEH-funded start-up project to "Archive What I See Now", and an exploration of the use of web archives to enrich the live web experience through storytelling.
Dr. Weigle received her Ph.D. in computer science from the University of North Carolina in 2003. She joined ODU in 2006.
