Dr. Tamer Nadeem receives $25k support from Siemens Corporate Research, to develop new schemes to identify vehicles lanes at traffic intersection.

Many new advanced driver assistance and ITS applications will require vehicle-based lane-level position determination. By developing an accurate, reliable, and low-cost vehicle positioning system that can be readily deployed, a number of intelligent transportation system applications become possible. we design and evaluate several possible schemes based on the support from the infrastructures to enhance lane resolution accuracy in order to support several ITS application especially within urban environment.
