Dr. Michele Weigle and Dr. Michael Nelson were awarded a 3-year Digital Humanities Implementation Grant from the National Endowment for the Humanities (NEH).
The 3-year $324,000 grant is the largest of the 11 NEH grants awarded in the state of Virginia and one of only seven Implementation Grants awarded nationwide. The project aims to allow individuals to "archive what I see now". The user can create a standard web archive file ("archive") of the content displayed in the browser ("what I see") at a particular time ("now"). It focuses on bringing the power of institutional web archiving tools to humanities scholars through open-source tools for personal-scale web archiving.More information is available here
