Computer Science Department News
E&CS Power Outage has been scheduled for Sunday March 6th from 6a.m. to 4 p.m. Primary CS services will remain online.
Due to multiple failures of the main building power breaker in E&CS ODU has scheduled a power outage that will allow for repairing the faulty equipment in E&CS.
As a result, the Computer Science deparment's secondary services will be interrupted. Available services will be:
- Web Services. Main CS website cs.odu.edu, along with secure student server webspace.cs.odu.edu will be accessible.
- Exchange E-mail (Note: Unix mail will be unavailable.)
- Virtual Computing Lab: vclab.cs.odu.edu
- Unix FAST alias SSH access: fast.cs.odu.edu (Note: Host running will be antares.cs.odu.edu
- Cluster hpcd.cs.odu.edu
- Mysql Server: mysql.cs.odu.edu
CS will initiate a shutdown procedure of secondary services at 6 a.m.
Note: Spong Hall operation will remain unaffected.
