Computer Science Department News

Systems Group is currently evaluating a demo installation of the Matlab Distributed Computing Server and the Parallel Computing Toolbox. The MDCS can run on up to 256 cores on the HPCD cluster, with either parallel, distributed or Matlab Pool jobs.

This offers a significant boost to computing power over stand alone Matlab installations.

It will be available for students and faculty until April 24th of this year. To learn how to use these services, log into hpcd.cs.odu.edu and follow the Matlab DCS tutorial. If you have any questions about the MDCS or any of our cluster services, please email root@cs.odu.edu.
