Samy El-Tawab
PhD, Old Dominion University

 


Samy El-Tawab obtained his B.Sc. in Computer Science from the College of Engineering, Alexandria University, Egypt in 2002. After joining the Unilever Mashreq Company for couple of months as an application developer, he was appointed as a teaching assistant in the Mathematic and Engineering Physic Department at Alexandria University.

In 2006, Samy obtained his M.S. degree in Computer Science from Alexandria University in the field of Networks. He worked on the U.S. - EGYPT JOINT BOARD ON SCIENTIFIC AND TECHNOLOGICAL COOPERATION on the project of "Redundant Traffic Encoding and Marking Scheme for Voice-Over-IP Quality of Service", 2004.

In the fall of 2006, Samy started his Ph.D. program at Old Dominion University in Computer Science under the supervision of his advisor, Professor Stephan Olariu. Recently, his paper was awarded a prize for Excellence in Scholarship in "The College of William and Mary's Eighth Annual Graduate Research Symposium".
