Sudheer Dharanikota
PhD, Old Dominion University, 1997

 


Sudheer Dharanikota graduated from Old Dominion University in 1997 under the guidence of Kaufman Professor Kurt Maly. His doctoral thesis, providing application level quality of service (QoS), predates the most important developments in the Internet technology both in the signaling and application level QoS specification. Since he graduated from ODU, he worked at Racal Datacom, Alcatel Data Networks, Nayna Networks and Avici Systems, as an architect for developing data and transport equipment, and as a manager of many software developmental efforts in the same area. Sudheer actively represented his work places at the standards bodies such as IETF, ANSI and ITU, and technical forums such as OIF and MPLS forum. He has many standards and standards track documents to his credit.

He is currently associated with ODU, Computer Science Department as a part time Adjuct Research Faculty addressing the data networking related issues in the area of QoS and MPLS provisioning. He is also the acting Executive Vice President of Technology for Sokeoo Corporation addressing realization of higly reliable and real-time applications.
