Freshman Information

  • Welcome Letter from the Chief Departmental Advisor

  • All CS Freshmen are required to take CS 110, and are advised to progress through the programming, architecture, and mathematic requirements. More Info

  • All freshmen must take the University Freshman Assessment before the end of their first semester at ODU. Click Here

  • Students are responsible to make sure that their Academic Trascript adequately reflects all AP test results, CLEP test results, or previous college course transfer equivalencies. Students should periodically review thie transcripts to ensure that all records are accurate, that dropped courses do not appear, and that withdrawn courses are properly recorded.

  • Academic Advisor: Each department has assigned a faculty member as the CDA (Chief Departmental Advisor). Other faculty members also help to advise students.
