The MBA Program Director will act as an advisor to the student in addition to their Computer Science advisor.
The MBA Program Office is located in Technology 203A.
Entrance Requirements
To be accepted into the program students should have:
- completed at least 24 credit hours at Old Dominion University with a GPA of at least 3.00;
- completed all lower level general education requirements;
- achieved senior standing at Old Dominion University;
- completed a calculus course, equivalent to Math 200;
- achieved a minimum Graduate Management Admissions Test (GMAT) score of 550; and
- achieved a minimum index of 1200. (The index is computed as 200 times the ODU GPA plus the GMAT score.)
Admissions Procedure
Students should plan to take the GMAT at least two semesters prior to the semester in which they plan to enroll.
Students planning to enroll in the Fall semester of their senior year should take the GMAT during the Fall semester
of their junior year. Applications should be submitted to the MBA Program office at the beginning of the semester
prior to planned enrollment.
Students accepted into the Five-Year Program must complete the following courses from the MBA core during their
senior year. These credit hours will count toward their undergraduate degree only and will satisfy the upper
division requirement for graduation. Students must maintain a 3.0 GPA in these courses.

After students have satisfactorily completed their undergraduate requirements, they must complete
the following thirty hours in the MBA program:

*Concentrations allow students to achieve a greater depth of knowledge in a particular area.
A concentration consists of 9 hours of course work in information systems, management science or
management of service operations and 3 hours of electives.
All students are required to take an international course, either as part of their concentration or as an elective.
All students are responsible for selecting at least three one-hour modules during their tenure in the program.
The one-hour module courses will cover a variety of topics such as effective written communications, ethics,
and leadership. These courses will not count toward a concentration. Grading shall be on a pass-fail basis.
