Who is Team Red?


Dominik Mueller

Mentor

Dominik Mueller is Team Red's mentor. Mueller was named the 2018 Conference USA Coach of the Year after winning the C-USA Tournament in dominating fashion (won all three matches 4-0). The conference title was the first for the school since 1994. Mueller and the Monarchs earned the school’s second ever bid to the NCAA Tournament, with the first occurring in 2007.

Joseph Watson

Project Manager
Subject Matter Expert

Joseph has served in the U.S. Coast Guard for six years working search and rescue cases and anti-drug law enforcement. He is majoring in Computer Science, and has a wife, daughter and three dogs.

Chantal Murdock

Lead Software Developer

Chantal is currently finishing-up her Bachelor's in Computer Science. She has interned at multiple companies and played various roles within the software development world such as: Cyber Security SME, Software Engineer, Embedded Engineer, and Website Developer. When she's not busy at school or work you can catch her somewhere outside, or traveling to new places.

Brett Simpson

Lead Software Developer

Brett is a United States Navy veteran currently attending Old Dominion University. His expected graduation is in the Spring of 2019 with a bachelor's in Computer Science. After his time served in the military he directed all his efforts toward education as a full-time student. He is finishing his final semesters through ODU Online, while he currently resides in Cleveland, Ohio. In addition to computer science, he has a background in networking and security. His future ambitions are to find a career in video game development.

Edwin Ordona

Project Manager
Backend Developer

Edwin is a Senior majoring in Computer Science. His hobbies include music production, video games, and tennis. Sushi is his favorite food. When he graduates, he plans to become a software developer with a focus in either video games or digital audio.

Sharell (Shay) Gilchrist

Database Specialist

Shay is graduating senior obtaining a Bachelor's of Science degree in Computer Science from Virginia Beach, VA. Aside from school, she holds an executive board position for Region II of the National Society of Black Engineers and coaches for a local cheer company. Her hobbies include designing websites, repairing computers, trying new food, listening to music and enjoying adventurous activities.

Adam Wilson

Frontend Developer

Adam is currently a Senior, majoring in Computer Science. He enjoys traveling and finding new places to scuba dive around the world. After graduation, he plans to find a career in video game development.

Evan O’Sullivan

Frontend Developer

Evan is a Senior in the Old Dominion University Computer Science program. He expects to graduate with his bachelor's in Computer Science in the Fall of 2019. Evan’s hobbies include gaming, building gaming PCs, and tinkering with Linux systems. He works part time as a manager at Autobell Car Wash to pay his way through college. Evan hopes to land a job as a software developer after he graduates.

James Crusenberry

Backend Developer

James Crusenberry is from Chilhowie, Virginia and is currently a senior at Old Dominion University. He is expecting to graduate in the spring of 2019 with a bachelor's degree in Computer Science with a minor in Cybersecurity. Alongside his coursework, James works a part-time job at a fast-food restaurant. His hobbies include gaming, listening to music, playing basketball, and studying German.
