Irwin Levinstein is associate professor and assistant chair in the Computer Science department at Old Dominion University. His research is the in Intelligent Tutoring Systems in which he worked for many years on the iSTART project that improved high school students' ability to comprehend science texts and the R-SAT project that measured the the types of reading strategies people used. These were supported by the Department of Education and the National Science Foundation. He has taught database courses for many years.
Steve is a senior student majoring in computer science at ODU. He is interested in web development. In his spare time he enjoys kayaking, mountain biking, and spending time with his family.
David is a senior computer science major at ODU and works full time as a Java developer for a company in Lynchburg, VA. He is interested in electrical engineering, robotics, and embedded software. After graduating he hopes to pursue a career in the clean energy industry.
Dan is a Computer Science major who is minoring in Physics. He works as a systems administrator by day and DJs on the weekends.
Bernard is a Senior Computer Science major, currently planning to obtain his Master's upon graduation.
James is a senior in the Computer Science program at ODU. He is interested in software engineering, machine learning, and algorithm analysis. After graduation, he plans to join a tech company as a software engineer.
