CFD (Computational Fluid Dynamics) simulations have outpaced memory bandwidth when writing data to non-volatile mediums.

Our Solution

Through the implementation of Paraview Catalyst onto Athena (a CFD simulation), we can convert this data into images that could be examined to serve a similar function as the simulation data while taking up significantly less storage.
