THE ISSUE

All record labels, and even artists themselves, need an easy way to create cutting-edge websites. Promoting their brand is always top-priority in their line of business; advertising is everything, and it rakes in revenue. There is no web service that brings together everything a person interested in music would want in a site. The music market needs a singular place to host all of their customers’ needs, such as:


THE SOLUTION

Provide an online, multimedia hub from which independent artists and record labels alike can promote themselves and their work. This effort includes embedded social and entertainment media from mainstream sources, an online store for merchandise, and more all presented in a templated web application.

THE TEAM

Keith Saunders

Team Lead

Keith Saunders is a senior at Old Dominion University pursuing a Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science with a minor in Cybersecurity. He also works part-time as a Jr. Software Programmer for a DoD web-application contractor based in Virginia Beach. Their system runs on an AngularJS base, so he usually works in C#, HTML, AngularJS, and Gulp (for deployment.) Most of his current academic programming time is spent with object-oriented languages like C++ and Java. In the time somehow leftover, he plays local punk shows, secretly wishing he was at home.

Manuel Ayala

Backend Dev

Manuel is an undergraduate senior at Old Dominion University majoring in Computer Science. Prior to attending Old Dominion University, he attended Tidewater Community College, where he obtained his Associates of Science in Computer Science. Both born and raised in Virginia Beach, Manuel was always interested in computers since he was young. During high school, he managed to get the CompTIA A+ certification. After graduating, he hopes to get into game development or mobile app development.

Brian Julien

Frontend Dev

Brian is an undergraduate senior in Computer Science at Old Dominion University. Born and raised in the U.S. Virgin Islands, he spent four years in the U.S. Navy as an Information Systems Technician and aspires to work with artificial intelligence in national defense applications.

Dimitri Jones

Frontend Dev

Dimitri is a Computer Science undergraduate student at Old Dominion University. He received an Associates in Information Technology from Southside Virginia Community College. He is currently working as a student Computer Technician for Classroom Central of Old Dominion University. After graduation he is interested in becoming a software developer. In his free time he likes to listen to music and play basketball.

Aaron Olah

Backend Dev

Aaron is a computer science major in his senior year at Old Dominion University and a system administrator with the computer science department systems group. His focus is on the configuration and management of Linux systems and services. Currently, he is familiarizing himself with Kubernetes to assist in the development of the department’s containerization infrastructure.

Nick McCurty

Fullstack Dev

Nick is an aspiring programmer currently enrolled at ODU’s Computer Science department. He currently has experience programming in Python, C, C++, and java. In the future he hopes to work for a company that specializes in game creation as a developer or to start his own game creation company. At the moment he works for the systems administration group of the ODUCS department.

Jacob Kutchi

Frontend Dev

Jacob is an undergraduate senior studying Computer Science at Old Dominion University. Jacob has skills in Python, C++, Java, and basic web development using HTML/CSS and JavaScript. He has hopes of pursuing software development after graduation.
