Prototype Results 

The accelerometer that was used for our prototype demonstration produced results that were insignificant. In other words the accelerometer was showing a total movement when the device had not moved at all. This is due to slight vibrations that are not human detectable. Over a five year span the error on the results could show a STATag as far away as 95 miles, spherically.

To continue with this project, we would replace the accelerometers with a Real-Time Locating System (RTLS), or another device that would produce more accurate results.

The STATag© and Digital Inventory Systems are being developed under the Computer Productivity Initiative at Old Dominion University.
