We, the development team for the Wristband Sleep Detector (WSD), are a combination of great minds seeking the creation of an aid to assist society in the ever-persistent struggle that is everyday life. We are on a quest to help those whose eyelids weigh too much to keep open and whose heads are too heavy to lift. Yes, you sleepy people of the world, we are here to help you. Now, meet the team:

Herbert H. Piland:
Technical Writer
Herbert H. Piland is a student of Computer Science and Philosophy at Old Dominion University. His plans after graduation are to seek employment in the game development industry, and his hobbies include reading, gaming, and spending time with his friends.

Okiima Pickett:
Design
Okiima Pickett is the Founder and Development Specialist for the Wristband Sleep Detector. Her responsibilities include project planning and product design and development. Ms. Pickett is a senior at Old Dominion University and will be graduating in May 2003 with a BS degree in Computer Science and a minor in Computer Engineering. Ms. Pickett enjoys programming, animating, and playing soccer for the ODU women's soccer team.

Mark Kopmann:
Project Manager
Mark Kopmann, Project Manager- A Computer Science undergraduate with a cluster in; "Administrative Leadership and Ethics for Professional Roles," at Old Dominion University. Following graduation in December 2002, he plans to pursue a career in software development on the application side. Mark splits his free time staying current in the latest software trends and relaxing with sci-fi novels.

R. Cortland Tompkins:
Webmaster & Presentations
R. Cortland Tompkins is a Computer Science and Mathematics undergraduate at Old Dominion University. Cort spends much of his free time enjoying the shooting sports and serving as the webmaster of the Virginia Beach Rifle & Pistol Club. He looks forward to applying this experience in assisting customers to avoid unwanted sleep.

Christopher Garrett:
Web Designer, Technical Expert
Christopher Garrett is simply a person walking the path of life. He has done much research in various areas of computer technology, although he is a philosopher at heart seeking only experience. His path has led him to becoming the owner of a small corporation known as Inixoma, Inc. which started as a web design company, but soon developed into a web hosting company. Beyond the world of computers, Christopher also teaches kickboxing, trains in various martial arts, and enjoys sketching, rollerblading, and rock-climbing.

Charles Edmunds:
Funding
Charles Edmunds is a Computer Science major at Old Dominion University. In his spare time he enjoys watching football, camping, and reading poorly written science fiction and fantasy novels.

Amine Benjelloun:
Research
Amine Benjelloun, is a senior at Old Dominion University. He will be graduating in May 2003 with a BS in Computer Science and a minor in Computer Engineering. He plays tennis, soccer and he likes fishing.
