Mark [WSD Project Manager],
I like your web page and I like your topic. Thanks for letting me know
what is going on at ODU. Answers to your questions, as best that I can
tell, are:
[ some content omitted for brevity ]
The best behavioral indicators of sleep onset we presently know of
appear to be from wrist activity measures or eyelid closures. People
move when awake and close their eyes when asleep. References to two
review articles on actigraphy follow (Klosch G, Gruber G, Anderer P,

psychopharmacology. Wien Klin Wochenschr. 2001 Apr 17;113(7-8):288-95.

evaluation of sleep disorders. Sleep. 1995 May;18(4):288-302.)
Best wishes on your project.
