Our objective is to develop a system that provides contact-less order and payment to a point of sale terminal without verbal communication. This system will be marketed to coffee shops, where repeat order volume is high and increased order throughput yields greater profit. The current ordering process used in coffee shops to provide specialty-orders is inconvenient, inefficient and error prone. These inefficiencies stem from inherent menu board complexity and the human to human flow of data; in turn, this results in decreased customer throughput and restaurant revenue. |
