Phase II will conclude in May 99 when the grant proposal
is submitted for approval to the National Science Foundation
(NSF). A second grant proposal will be submitted to the U. S. Department of Transportation
(DOT).
Phase III will start when the NSF funds the GAS project.
Phase III will complete the research necessary to develop the GAS simulation
program. The PI will select a team and research will be conducted in accordance with
the NSF Grant Proposal Schedule and Milestones.
After the GAS research has been completed, DOT grant funding will be used to develop the
actual GAS simulation software. This software will be developed in accordance with
the DOT Grant Proposal Schedule and Milestones.
Phase III will conclude with the production of the GAS product. The project team
will then market the GAS software to local, state and federal transportation officials.
