Phase One encompasses both CS 410 and
CS 411. In the CS 410 part of Phase One, VoiCE
functional specifications were created. The CS 411
part of Phase One will come to and end in May
when the grant proposal is created and submitted
for approval to the National Science Foundation.
Once the National Science Foundation has
accepted and approved the VoiCE project, Phase
Two begins. Phase Two is composed of a seven
part plan. Once the grant is awarded the Definition
Phase begins. The principal investigator will select
and gather a team in addition to verifying the specs
of the Grant. The Analysis Phase follows where
students will do the intial research for the three
specified configurations.  The Design Phase
follows in which functional specifications for
the three configurations are created. The
Programming Phase is next; all the modules will
be coded and implemented. They will
then be integrated and tested in the System Test
Phase. The Acceptance Phase will verify the
configurations in a live setting. Finally, results will
be gathered for  final report to the
National Science Foundation.

PhaseThree is not covered in detail. It deals
with the actual production of the VoiCE product
and ends when the VoiCE door system is finally
made available on the market.
