The RMS members are currently faculty members, and undergraduate students at Old Dominion University. The team was created around a shared interest. Each team member is accountable for their detailed tasks as well as the overall group performance. It was necessary to establish a framework where each member could help strengthen the complex project. On the right is a general breakdown of each member’s section.


 General Manager

Dennis Ray

Dennis Ray has been general manager of RMS, since the start of the second semester. Under his guidance RMS has made some changes.

Mr. Ray holds a M.S. in Computer Science from the United States Naval Postgraduate School in Monterey, CA and a B.S. in Marine Engineering from the United States Naval Academy in Annapolis, MD. He is currently a lecturer at Old Dominion University and teaches a variety of courses including Computer Based Productivity, Introduction to Programming, Advanced Data Structures and Algorithms, and Introduction to Artificial Intelligence.

 Project Manager & Webmaster

Michael J. Higgins

Michael J. Higgins is currently a senior at Old Dominion University. He will be graduating in May 2004 with a bachelor's degree in computer science and a minor in computer engineering. His computer interests include systems programming and web programming. He is currently employed as a co-op for the Space and Naval Warfare Systems Center in Norfolk. He was also the project manager of the Resource Monitoring System in cs410.

 Hardware Manager

Brian Lyssy

Brian Lyssy is currently a Senior at Old Dominion University. He is graduating in December of 2003 with a Bachelors in Computer Science and a Minor in Mathematics. His areas of expertise are in real-time UNIX systems and programming in C/C++. Areas of interest include Graphics/Simulation and computer gaming. He plans to transfer in the Fall of 2004 to the University of Texas to work on his Masters in Computer Science.

 Software Manager

Marcellus Beasley

Marcellus is currently a senior here at Old Dominion University. He is graduating in December 2003 with a bachelors degree in Computer Science and a minor in History. His interests in the computer science field include military simulation and artificial intelligence. After graduation he will be seek full-time employment in Virginia.

 Documentation Manager

Joseph Banks

Joseph Banks is a member of the RMS team.

Mr. Banks is a senior attending Old Dominion University as a
full time student majoring in computer science. His interests in the computer science field include graphics and database programming. After he graduates, he plans to work as a full time employee and pursue his Masters degree part time.
