AOS's History

 Project's History
The Accurate Ordering System (AOS) project is based upon the 2002 Computer Aided Dining (CAD) project of the Computer Science Department at Old Dominion University. The idea of CAD came from the course CS410-Computer Productivity Initiative.

 Societal Problem
Frequently, a waiter writes down the order illegibly. This leaves the preparation staff with his or own interpretation. Sometimes, the customer or the waiter is not a native speaker. This makes it easy to misunderstand some parts of the order.

 Technological solution
Our Accurate Ordering System allows the customers to validate their orders with the waiter. After this validation, the order is transferred electronically to the kitchen where the meal can be prepared precisely as the customer has specified.

 General Project Environment
The ideal environment for the AOS is at small restaurants ranging with 8-10 tables. Example: AppleBees,Uno.
