Initial Concept Sept 2003

The OmnAuto Tire Monitoring system started out as an "Automatic Pressure Regulator" proposed by team member Jeremy Wilson. The original systems was aimed at Tractor Trailer vehicles and included an onboard compressor that could add air to tires as needed, even as the vehicle was in motion.

OmnAuto Beginnings Oct 2003

OmnAuto investigates the implications of the [TREAD Act] and gravitates towards making the system an OEM component on new vehicles.

OmnAuto Development Fall Semester, 2003

Adds a Historical Data aspect and redesigns the system to incorporate memory modules.
Temperature/Pressure correlation is addressed to improve upon existing models.
Phase I SBIR application completed.

Refines software model for temperature and pressure coorelation.
Develops and tests lab prototype.
