Projects

For more details on the project functionalities, screen shots, and demo video, please check the corresponding website for each project.

  1. Project NameSecuridroid
    Team Name:    Team Awesomesauce Production
    Students:         Scott Corey, Josiah Smith
Overview:      Securidroid is a simple system to drastically increase the security of your home or apartment. Upon the opening of the door, the application is engaged, recording video, sounding alarms, or simply sending you text messages letting you know someone is home. Securidroid is the ultimate low cost security system for anyone who doesn't want to pay those outrageous monthly fees to the big security companies. The Securidroid system is also ideal for apartments and college dorm rooms, where alternate security systems may not be an option.

  2. Project NameFishing Game-The Tragedy of Common
    Team Name:    The Andro-Techs
    Students:         Lulwah Alkwai, Sarwar Sha-Mohammad
Overview:       The application is a fun game, which helps you learn how to think ahead before deciding to makeany decisions. If you only thinks about your interests, you will lose the game. In addition, you become a reason for making all the other players lose too.

  3. Project NameBird Watcher
    Student:          Andrew Schaefer
Overview:       The Bird Watcher app is designed to allow both casual and seasoned bird watchers to take advantage of their smart phone to capture audio and video in the field, while automatically tracking GPS location for each sighting.

  4. Project NameSpoken Security
    Student:          Joel Elixson
Overview:      SpokenSecurity is a voice-locked password vault designed to provide two factor authentication (possession and inherence) while simultaneously making it easy to retrieve (and subsequently use) the multiple passwords any security-conscious person should maintain.

  5. Project NameFuel Tracker
Students:          Drew Carpenter, Thomas Carson, Tom Staley
Overview:       With ever increasing gas prices people are looking for ways to lower their fuel intake. One overlooked method is driving habits. Keeping a steady speed and accelerating over longer distances improve mpg. Fuel Tracker keeps track of your position through gps and also keeps track of your driving habits with the accelerometer. Fuel Tracker then uses an equation to compute gas mileage.
