The Founder and Leader of Global Student Friendship was awarded the 2013 MONARCH LEGACY AWARD by Old Dominion University for a member or members of the Old Dominion University community whose actions made a significant impact on the campus community, especially for founding Global Student Friendship which has reached more than 4,000 international students and has expanded into a Hampton Roads Chapter that serves internationals in the entire region. Thanks for the great partnership with all serving friends, supporters, and prayers from all people.
The Founder and Leader of Global Student Friendship was awarded the International Student/Scholar Ministry TIMOTHY AWARD by a non-profit organization called Association of Christians Ministering among Internationals whose members are from the US, Europe, Asia, Africa, Australia and around the world. GSF Volunteer Team is part of the success story of Old Dominion University receiving the 2013 US President Higher Education Community Service Honor Roll.
MOST RECENT EVENTS!!!
More than 200 New and Returning Internationals from 23 nations and American friends attended the 2013 Welcome Bus Tour and Luncheon/Reception for ODU New Internationals. We want to thank organization that made our Welcome events successful: the US NAVY, ODU, student volunteers from ODU's Indian Student Association, ODU's Chinese Student and Scholar Association, ODU's Persian Student Association, Ret. US. Navy Capt. John Gorman, Bill Thompson, bus drivers, and volunteers from local churches. We also want to thank the First Presbyterian Church for hosting this wonderful events and local churches for filling out the Welcome bags for our International students.
