to find out the guideline of how to find
an advisor and what constitute an MS project.
Registration:
Ø Please
check with your project advisor and find if you are ready to present
your MS project
Ø Use the
Unix command ( you must
have an active Unix account):
% submit gpd
choose MS_Project_Registration
and submit
a single word file containing:
1.
The sessions which are NOT possible for you and your advisor to
attend (with explanation).
2.
An abstract of your project.
Pre-Presentation:
At
least one hour before the start of your session, use:
% submit gpd
choose MS_Project_PowerPointPresenation
and submit a single power point file containing your presentation.
During-Presentation:
Ø You will
just open your submitted presentation (to minimize setup time between different
presentations).
Ø You will
have to mange and budget your allotted time effectively.
Ø The
attending faculty will judge your presentation quality and style and make
recommendations to the GPD for Pass/Fail (thus you should practice your
presentation in advance).
Post-Presentation:
Following
your presentation and after the approval of your advisor, use:
% submit gpd
choose MS_Project_Reports
Your
submission should include:
1.
The MS project report
2.
The MS project PowerPoint presentation (again).
3.
Any software developed for the MS project (unless your advisor asks for a
waiver).
Put all your
files under a single directory and just submit the directory.
The GPD will
check your submission as part of your graduation requirements.
The
submitted information will be posted under: www.cs.odu.edu/~gpd/msprojects
