Doctoral students generally receive financial aid in one of the following
forms listed below.
In addition, all supported PhD students receive a full tuition waiver.
- Limited financial aid is also available for on campus Master's students.

Chair (currently Dr. Levinstein).
- Normally no financial aid is awarded to Master's students prior to their arrival in the campus.
Financial Aid Available
- Teaching Assistantship (TA):
A limited number of teaching assistantships are available
to Computer Science graduate students. Criteria for the
selection of TA's include:
- Ability and willingness to teach or grade computer science courses
- Academic standing
Deadlines: November 15 (Spring) and March 15 (Fall).
The normal workload for a TA is to teach two sections of
one course; generally these are programming language courses.
A split TA may be awarded for students who wish to teach
one section of a course.
- Research Assistantship (RA):
RA's are awarded through research grants. Selection of
RA's is the responsibility of research professors.
Positions will be
announced on the departmental bulletin board or by the
professors when funding is available.
- Others:
Student Work Opportunities (
E.g., Monitors, Systems staff, graders.) are available throughout the campus.
