- At most 6 credit hours can be taken as independent study (CS 697).
- For CIS students at most 3 credit hours can be taken as independent study
from either department (3 hours of CS 697 and 3 hours of ISYS 697).
- The instructor should be an approved graduate faculty.
- The student must submit a plan (about one page) of the independent study
which is to be signed
by the instructor and the Graduate Program Director before registration.
A copy of this form should be kept in the student file.
- The combined total of Seminar/Topics and Independent Study courses credited
for a Masters degree does not exceed three (ie. at most three course from CS697
CS791 CS796).
