Title: Computational Aspects of Mesh-free Discretizations Abstract: In this talk I will discuss a variety of topics involved in the assembly and solution of sparse linear systems arising from Mesh-free discretizations. Mesh-free methods have been used in Engineering to avoid difficulties with mesh generation that occur in traditional finite element methods. Some topics I will discuss include new matrix assembly techniques, fast linear solvers and data structures which should be used for these problems.
