  We will roughly follow the first four chapters of the new book by Culler, Singh, and Gupta, "Parallel Computer Architecture" , published by Morgan-Kaufmann. Professor Singh's lecture slides for the early chapters of this textbook may be consulted at his personal website. This material will be supplemented by papers by the instructor on scalable numerical algorithms. Parallel computing examples will be included via the PETSc system. Click here for a syllabus.
