WHAT FACTORS ABOUT THIS CLASS CONTRIBUTED THE MOST TO YOUR LEARNING? WHAT ASPECTS OF THIS CLASS HELPED YOU TO LEARN THINK CRITICALLY?

Every lecture was a presentation of a reading from the course book or additional readings. Students were expected to read and present a single chapter or article adding current information or examples and facilitating a discussion based on the chapter/article topic. While most topics were controversial, they did bring out different viewpoints from classmates. The class helped me think about financial success or a product versus competency.

The course is Seminar. I wasn't were comfortable on stage before taking this course. As I presented a 3 hour seminar, now I am very confident that I can give a very good presentation whenever required.

I learned many things from this class which can't be put in words.It really very good class.

This class is not like the regular classes I've taken. Instead of learning hard core computer science concepts, we explored the management side of it. I think getting an overall picture of how things work in the outside world and how decisions are made is quite necessary. Learning to design good software is not the only thing, but marketing your product in a profitable way is an important aspect.

Presenting in the class meant I really had to know the material. I spent far more time on the chapter I presented, than on the others. One page summaries were helpful, though perhaps more consistency in them would have been helpful... I plan to print them all as a summary of the book. The QA sessions were productive.

The readings and the class discussions contributed most to my learning. I learned new definitions for words and listen to the news in a new way.

WHAT DID YOU LIKE MOST ABOUT THE CLASS AND YOUR INSTRUCTOR?

I am taking the class as a non-degree student. Currently I am applying for graduate study in information science (aka library science) and found the course content relevant. In addition to this, I found the course book, class discussions, and class presentations very informative and enlightening. I looked forward to it every week. Professor Nelson is clearly knowledgeable and enthusiastic about the subject.

Dr. Nelson is a very effective teacher who explains concepts by giving illustrative examples. Dr. Nelson takes a lot of interest in explaining tough concepts.

The class operated under a strictly defined Project Management Plan, in accordance with CMMI PMP requirements. Students were cross-matrixed to enhance the neural feedback process and supplement presentation skill set growth. Each student was given project deliverables and milestones which mapped back to the Project Plan timeline. Weekly IPRs were conducted and dovetailed into a rigourous QA feedback consultations with the team. Advanced Multimedia learning packages were utilized, providing the audience with multiple simultaneous sensory stimulation sources to promote the optimum use of time and space.

He knows the topic, he's funny, and he uses great examples. He's the canonical professor. Not only does he address the topic, but he illustrates it with historical and contemporary examples and related trivia.

Bathroom breaks during the longer sessions would have been nice, the seating made it awkward for some students to get up in the middle of the presentations w.o. creating a disturbance.
