- Submit a printout of the first page (only!) of results obtained by using Yahoo!, Google, and Bing to search for your name. Are the results the same?
- Each year on April Fools' Day, Google makes a joke announcement. When was the first year that Google did this and what was the joke? List the steps, including the websites and search terms, you used to find the answer.
- Use the Wayback Machine to find the ODU CS department's webpage from Dec 26, 2003. Who was the featured alumnus? Where did he work then? List the steps you used to find the answer.
- Players entering the NFL Draft must take the Wonderlic test. What did LSU's Matt Mauck make? How does that compare with the average score for quarterbacks? List the steps, including the websites and search terms, you used to find the answer.
- Suppose you were moving from Baton Rouge, LA to Norfolk. Is the cost of living higher or lower in Baton Rouge or Norfolk? List the steps, including the websites and search terms, you used to find the answer.
- The house at 453 Washington Pond Road in Marlow, NH is for sale. What is the asking price? Submit a picture of the house. List the steps, including the websites and search terms, you used to find the answer.
- I was a grad student at UNC. What courses did I take in Fall 1997? (Hint: I had my own webpage.) List the steps, including the websites and search terms, you used to find the answer.
- Who holds the NCAA football record (FCS division) for most blocked extra points (PATs) in a single game? Give the player's name, game, and date. List the steps, including the websites and search terms, you used to find the answer.
- Use Google Maps to find a picture from inside the Downtown Tunnel. Submit a printout or screenshot.
- Find out what a 'googlewhack' is. Try to create one. Submit a screenshot of your best attempt.
