Program Assignment 1

This assignment is based on the ns-3 introduction lecture by Hadi Arbabi.

1. Create your own directory inside the ns-3 source tree. Copy the sample codes there. Create/modify necessary wscripts and see whether you are able to run these experiments.
2. Design a new experiment similar to ns3-adhoc. It must be able to run for 6 Mbps and 54 Mbps wireless transmission rates and with transmission power based on the user input.
3. Run your designed experiment for both transmission rates (6 Mbps and 54 Mbps) with these values for power: 1.0, 5.0, 10.0, 20.0, and 40.0.
4. Redirect the generated plotting output for each run to a file and make graphs using gnuplot. Be sure to create useful legends and axis labels.

Submit a document that contains a description of the experiments you ran, including the 10 graphs. Your report should include parameter settings, expected results, and a discussion of how the actual results met (or didn't meet) your expectations.

The document should be submitted via Blackboard. PDF is the preferred format, but Word is acceptable.
