Wireless CSNET Information
The CS Department's wireless network (WCSNET) uses WPA2 security. Information on configuration for Windows XP, Vista, and Mac OS X is available.

08/26/09 - Exchange 2007 has been upgraded to Service Pack 2.
08/24/09 - Proxy card access is again availabe for the Problem Solving Lab.
08/15/09 - The move from Dragas to Spong Hall has been completed. All labs are up and running again.
08/14/09 - The Problem Solving Lab has been updated for the Fall Semester.
08/14/09 - Windows 7 Professional is now available to students via ELMS.
08/12/09 - WCSNET is now available in Spong Hall.
08/11/09 - WCSNET is now available in Beowulf Lab (RP I Suite 401).
08/10/09 - VCLab has been updated for the Fall Semester.
08/06/09 - The move from Dragas (Hughes) to Spong Hall has begun.
07/28/09 - Office 2010 Preview Release is available for testing on the Windows 7 machines in the PS and OR Labs.
07/24/09 - Beowulf Lab has been moved from Dragas to Research Park I Suite 401.
07/13/09 - Apple iMacs are now available in the Problem Solving and E&CS Open Labs.
06/09/09 - All user home directories have been moved to the EMC NS40 SAN and default quotas have been doubled.
05/18/09 - Windows 7 RC and Visual Studio 2010 Beta are now available on several machines in the PS and OR Labs.
04/06/09 - Systems Group and ACM will hold their Spring Cookout on 4/14 from noon-2pm between E&CS and Webb Center. All CS students/faculty/staff are welcome!
03/28/09 - New printers have been installed on the E&CS second floor.
03/12/09 - Two additional machines have been added to teslafast, they have a C1060 and a S1070.
01/20/09 - The PS Lab has been upgraded to 22" monitors.
01/12/09 - The Teaching Lab has been upgraded to new hardware.
12/18/08 - Three machines with Nvidia Tesla C870 cards for CUDA programming are now available via teslafast.cs.odu.edu.
10/10/08 - Color printing is now available to PhD students on the printer 'Adam' on the second floor of E&CS.
10/03/08 - A second server has been added to VCLab to handle the increasing load.
08/09/08 - Exchange is now the internat-facing mailserver for the department and all new accounts will use Exchange by default.
05/12/08 - The Problem Solving Lab has been upgraded to Windows Vista x64
05/09/08 - The fast alias has been moved to Solaris 10, the new hosts are antares and deneb.
04/29/08 - All CS students now have Remote Desktop access to a lab environment, please see Virtual Computing Lab under "Services we provide" for more information.
04/22/08 - The fast alias will be moved completely to Solaris 10 on May 9th
04/22/08 - The new Solaris 10 fast machine is up at antares.cs.odu.edu
03/13/08 - The OR lab has been upgraded to new hardware and Windows Vista x64
