students outside the computer scince department.

Prerequisites: Graduate student standing plus a course in computer literacy
or the equivalent.
This course will describe how to gain access to the ``Information
Superhighway'' and use it to your best advantage. The course will
develop basic concepts of networking and the tools used to access the
internet. Topics include basic tools such as: telnet, ftp, e-mail and
news, data retrieval systems such as: archie and gopher, and major
network access projects and tools such as: the World Wide Web, WAIS,
and Mosaic.
