Lecture 3 hours; 3 credits.
Prerequisite: CS 350 or Permission of the Instructor.
A large realistic problem statement is given to be analyzed. Design
and management methodologies are provided to guide students through the
development of a problem solution. Students interview industry
representatives to obtain support material for several discussion
presentations. Activities include: problem analysis, identification
and evaluation of major issues, development of management plans, and
integration of business constraints into the generation of a formal
set of project specifications for use in the subsequent course, CS-411/511.
