Handbooks that contain program requirements and procedures should be available to all students upon entry into the program. All specific course and seminar requirements, oral/written exam procedures and other program specific information should be provided. Advising information should remind students of the fact that three-fifths of their credits must be from 600 and 700 level courses for M.S. candidates and three-fifths of their credits must be from 800 level courses for Ph.D. candidates. Encourage all students to use the Guidelines to Thesis and Dissertations when they prepare their research prospectus and make them aware of the template available from the Associate Dean's web site. |
