Justin, you are doing an amazing thing. Hang in there, man. I am praying for you. Matt and I are busy planning the wedding, and I'm grateful we don't have to do it amidst some of those creepy crawlies you've got there! |

Mambo bwana Justin, I heard about your site from Jessica Bruck, so I thought I would take a gander. It is good to see your pictures of chidya and the house, I really miss the place. The nyumbani looks pretty sweet and it was due time those pink curtains got the boot. It sounds like you are getting into a good routine and enjoying yourself. The form 3's should be good for you, I thought there was a lot of smart kids- especially Dinu Zenu and the two little twins, I hope your finding them somewhat knowledgeable. I too was a big fan of the biking oppurtunities in the area and it took me several tries to succeed at not getting lost on the shortcuts to Masasi. You should ride with the sterr, he is pretty intense rider. The farthest I ever went was Ndwika, and reading about your journey. Anyways, keep up the good work mzee. Wasalimia wote. peace andy |

Justin!!!! Man... you have no idea how much I miss the great times at Marlbank! It might be lonely sometimes out there but always remember that I'm thinking about you and hope you are having the time of your life! I'm not coaching for Marlbank this summer because I'm studying abroad in France for a month! It will be awesome, but when my friends ask me how I will be able to cope in a country that speaks another language, I always tell them about you and how well you're doing in Africa. Thank you for always being such a great role model, ever since I was 5 years old. You have been such a great person to look up to and a dear friend to me. Keep on truckin, Justin, I miss you! |

Wow. When you Google "Marlbank Mudtoads" to see who is coaching this year, you definitly don't expect to see a website about Tanzania as the first link that comes up. We always knew you'd do something exciting and adventerous! I'm glad you are doing so well, and having a great time! Love the mullet:) |

Wow, Justin! I heard about your website in HRA's THE NAVIGATOR, and have just finished reading your journals. (Your former English teacher is proud of you!) I feel as if I am there with you. How wonderful of you to educate us about this part of the world and let us share vicariously in your experiences! I was "on" that raft with you, and I found your comment about corporal punishment poignant. Etc. Etc. Etc! Just wanted to touch base. School starts next week, and I'll be teaching four sections of AP, 3 language and comp. to juniors, and 1 section of lit. and comp. to seniors. Buildings may change, faculty and students may come and go, but "the more things change, the more they remain the same"! Congratulations on embarking on your important work of education, while at the same time, garnering such wonderful life experiences! Connie Holmes |
