1. This is a different type of chapati. Chapati is the Tanzanian tortilla. 'Kumimina' means 'to pour' so these chapati are like pancakes; especially since they have sugar. First you need your tools: 2 cups flour, 2 tbsps sugar, 1 tbsp salt, 1 egg, and 1 and 1/2 cup milk (or water if you don't have milk...but wait, you're probably in America so have milk). This makes about 3 chapati. Also, you want a good, and preferably small, frying pan.

2.You want to mix everything adding milk or flour until it has the consistency of crepe mix.

3. But don't pour it into your mouth however tempting it may be.

4. Next heat enough oil to...
5. ...completely cover one chapati. So, if you're one of those weird 'health nuts' you may want to use something healthy like sunflower oil. You'll pour in the mix until it fills the pan. But make sure it spreads out-the mix can be stubborn (like me) and refuse to pass through the oil.
5. Once they're fried you might want to put them on something to soak up all the wonderful oil. Kind of look like pancakes, don't they?
