Program Development Environments

Below is a list of the most common program development environments that are used for this course.

• Microsoft Visual C++ (Supported at most TELETECHNET sites - this is the "semi-official" compiler for this course)
  NOTE: the fourth edition of the textbook includes an introductory edition of Visual C++.
• Microsoft Visual Studio .NET
• Borland C++ Builder - You're on your own here - I don't have Borland
• PC edit, CygWin UNIX emulation on PC, PC GNU C++ compiler
  This is one way to get a first rate C++ compiler.for free
• PC edit, UNIX GNU C++ compiler
• Pure UNIX development. (see Dr. Zeil's Unix tutorial)
