Assignment 5: ADO.NET OR .NET Remoting (undergraduates only)
In place of the term project, all undergraduate students must do one of the following two assignments.
Option 1) ADO.NET: Provide a Data Base for the Vintage guitar servie. Replace XML file used in assignment 4 as the data source with a data base.
FUNCTIONAL REQUIREMENTS:
Same as assignment 4 (that is a web application accessing a web service that accesses the data base)
Additions to the list must be stored in the data base.
In addition, you must write a program (aspx page, windows form or console app) that reads the XML file used in assignment 4 and creates the data base entries that is used by your web service program.
IMPLEMENTATION REQUIREMENTS:
Option 2) NET Remoting: Modify the click the center assignment (assignment 2) so that multiple clients can "click" the center. Each client will see the same circle displayed and the first client that registers a click on the center of that circle will be used to determine the accuracy of the click. Each client will see the result of that click (that is the distance between the click and the center). After a suitable period of time, a new circle will be displayed at random (see requirements from assignment 2)
