Travels with Wildcat
|
Heading Down Island We had a lot of excitement this winter. Our son returned briefly from Tanzania with his fiance, Anna, to get married in California this January. They honeymooned briefly and then returned for a third year of service in the Peace Corps. Justin then returned in April for the wedding of his good friend Chris in Virginia and so we got to visit with him twice in one year! In addition we have been getting the boat ready for our first trip south of the Bahamas. One thousand miles against the trade winds to the Virgin Islands. So far we have made it to the Dominican Republic where we are enjoying the culture and scenary. It is so different than anywhere else we have been by boat. Chris and Pam Wild - May 20, 2008

Greetings friends, family, and fellow travelers. Welcome to our web page. Pam and I have been sailing since we were children and have been cruising together since we met in 1973. Having retired in the fall of 2004 we sold our house in Seaford, Virginia and moved onto Wildcat, a Lagoon 380 catamaran, to enjoy the cruising lifestyle. This is our 3rd live-aboard and we are enjoying the comforts of a bigger boat. From here you can view our Ship's Log, a handful of photographs from our travels, maps of our first retirement spot, the Bahamas, and an up to date GPS tracker letting you know, more or less, exactly where we are. The Ship's Log includes all of our entries since we left our home in October of 2004. We also include pictures from the trip. We hope you enjoy our site. If you have any comments please email us at wb2ldv@winlink.org (text only please). Until then, safe travels to all and may fortune bring you fair winds and calm seas.
