Self-Assessment: Getting Familiar with the Assessment Interface

An "assessment" is the generic term for a set of questions designed to "assess" your grasp of the course material.

Some assessments are graded (e.g., quizzes, exams). Others are "self-assessments" - these are provided so that you may determine for yourself whether you have mastered the material, but your score on the assessment does not count towards (or against) your course grade.

This is a self-assessment. It does not affect your grade.

In fact, it's not even a serious self-assessment. It is simply provided as a way for you to get some practice with the course's on-line assessment tool before we get to any real question sets.
