About me I am an Assistant Professor in the Computer Science department at the Old Dominion University.
I am leading Smart Wireless & Mobile Systems (SwimSys) Lab at ODU. I got my M.Sc. and Ph.D. from the Department
of Computer Science, University of
Maryland, College Park. I worked as a research assistant under the
supervision of Prof. Ashok
Agrawala and as a member of Maryland
Information and Network Dynamics Laboratory (MIND). Before joining
ODU, I was a research scientist at Siemens
Corporate Research, Inc., Princeton, NJ, USA in which I led several
research projects in the general areas of smart mobility for optimized
intelligent transportation systems and dynamic radio management for
enterprise and industrial wireless networks. My research interests
Wireless networks, mobile computin, ad-hoc and sensor networks,
vehicular networks, enterprise wireless network managements, efficient
cross layer designs, smart antenna protocols, peer-to-peer systems,
pervasive computing, location determination systems, and social
networks. Here you can find a list of my
publications.
For Prospective
Students: I'm always looking for motivated students with a
strong background in computer networks and systems. If you are a ODU
student interested in doing quality research in wireless networks and
mobile computing, please contact me. If you are not a ODU student, I
encourage you to apply.
