1 Overview

Prepare a Product User Manual that provides a description of the operation and use of the product prototype. The document must be accurate, easy to understand (meaningless marketing buzzword/buzz-phrase), and contain all information required by user.

2 Requirements

The purpose of the user manual is to supplement the knowledge and intuition users may have in operating and using the prototype, and to ensure the proper use of the product. Major commands and screens that will be included in the prototype demonstration must be covered in the manual. The manual will be provided to reviewers for the demonstration.

Your team will collaboratively write and submit a single User Manual. Each person must write a non-trivial portion of document.

List the author (or authors) of each section parenthetically next to each heading. E.g.,

4.1.2 Logging in via ODU Google Apps Account (by Thomas)

3 Submission

This is a group submission. You will submit the document on Blackboard and post it to your group site. Your instructor may require you to provide printed copies (plural) for your Prototype Demonstration.

Your Lab 4 grade will be based on the document as a whole. Adjustments may be made for individual students based on their contributions.
