Statistics show that the diabetic population in the United States currently tops over 16 million.  4.9 million of those with diabetes are reliant upon daily insulin injections for survival.In order to maintain optimum health, insulin-dependent diabetics must strictly adhere to their prescribed regimen.  However, daily insulin injections can be quite numerous and its proper administration complex.   The intrusiveness of the insulin regimen causes many diabetics to falter in taking their medications.  The fact remains that diabetics do not follow their insulin regimen.  Given a simplified insulin administration protocol, diabetics will be more likely to maintain their regimens.
