Project Description
We are providing wide range of backup services, as well as disk
mirroring over high speed networks. The backup service will depend on
the custommer's needs. All backups will be burned onto CDRom and
shipped to the customer.
Below is a general list of services we are providing.
- Low speed modem backups: this service will be
recommanded for small businesses with minimal amount of data
requireing backing up. The data will be transferred using a 28,800
modem once a day to a centrall backup server where it will be burned
onto CD Rom once a week and shipped to the customer. If a customer
requires data restoration before the end of the week, we will restore
the data and transfer it to the customer's site using the
modem.
- Leased 56 Kbps and ISDB backup transfers: This
service will be
recommanded to larger businesses with small computer networks. The
deta will be transferred to the central backup server up to 5 times a
day. At the end of each day (or week depending on the amount of data
collected), the data will be stored/burned onto CD Rom. Depending on
the costumer's requirements the CD Roms will be shipped to the customer or
stored in a central location.
- Disk mirroring over high speed connections: This
service will be
provided to customers who can not afford to loose data, nor down time
in an event of a system crash. The customer will provide two identical
systems. The two computer systems will be located in different
locations; if possible different buildings to prevant damage to both
systems in case of fir or some other damage to the building. The
two systems will be
connected with high speed connection (T1 or T3 line for smaller
systems and AT&T's six Mbps GlobeSpan for
larger systems). The connection between the two systems will be used
to mirror data on both systems. In an event of a crash of the primary
system, the secondary mirrored system will take over all
responsibilities of the primary system. The loss of service provided
by the primary system will be minimal. This would be posible because
of network disk mirroring.
